Just in from Skacel, is this adorable sample hat! The Capo-Nord hat is a free download and the sample is done in a chunky merino, finished in Hanah Silk Ribbon. Both are available at the Yarn Garage and StevenBe. We think the silk ribbon is a FANTASTIC solution to hide the seam in a hat! Jessie shrieked with joy when she opened the box that contained this sample. You will find this hat on her head wherever she goes. She is whipping one up in green.....imagine. Steven is whipping one up in black and white zebra. They are so predictable. What will you chose to make yours?

So many events have been happening since Jessie, Mom and I returned from TNNA in June. I did not get around to posting some of the great photos from the Needle Arts Show. I will add some photos that Jessie shot to my photo gallery. Thursday after we got back The Glitter Diva's got together for Ballet of Dolls' final performance of the season...Pink Flamingos. I/we were shocked, agast and wonderfully horrified. Another amazing performance for the dolls. They will be doing a private show at StevenBe sometime in the near future. Note Kay sporting her own fiber creation and Ann Murray wearing Lucy Neatby's original design for StevenBe...A Minnesota Moment. Jessie fashions a sequin knit shrug by Judi & Co. And the list goes on. Make sure to join us in our future frolics around town.

StevenBe and friends in the neighborhood gathered in the park to share our craft with the community. We had some new knitters stop by, and Tim and Markos taught passers-by how to knit. We got some color from the sun - and even added a little color to the neighborhood with yarn bombing.
Tim knitted a lovely sweater for our new tree friend.
Rachel crocheted a belt for another corner tree. The trees were quite pleased with their new looks!

Exciting first day of Shopping at TNNA!
We had an exciting day meeting with yarn companies and designers. We ran into the Ravelry crew and begged them to visit Minnesota! They agreed and we are going to host them in 2011. They are so popular, they are booked through the end of the year! We have got them, though, so don't fear! They will be in Minnesota soon!
Berroco enticed us with their talented designers Norah Gaughin and Cirilia Rose. Aren't they sweet?! Norah Gaughin vol. 7 is divine with geode and crystal inspired sweaters and accessories. The new line of Borealis with its shimmering prismatic colorways will delight all.
In addition Berroco distributes the amazing European line named Lang. Their high end fashions made Steven go all Project Runway on us. Check out the three new books we ordered from them soon.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth/mini boutique at Shepherd's Harvest over Mother's Day weekend! We were so happy with the turn out considering it was cold and rainy all day Saturday. But of course, to knitters and fiber lovers cold weather just means they get to wear knitwear on top of knitwear on top of knitwear.
And what Mother's Day fiber celebration is complete with out our very own mothers? Mama Berg and Mama France came along for the fiber fun. Mama Berg even dressed up in a pink jumpsuit for the special occasion!
Seriously Steven. I don't even know how describe... What am I supposed to write...?
Yet again you've left us all speechless and we're happier for it!

Last night, Steven and I (Tim) packed up a taste of the StevenBe Spring Runway Show to promote and meet the rest of the MNfashion Week event holders. Steven was his usual bold, beautiful, and show stopping self! We had a blast meeting and getting to know the other artists, designers, and event holders (check out all the events during MNfashion Week, April 16th-25th).
Since it is MNfashion, who should show up at the preview party? None other than Christopher Straub from Project Runway!
If you haven't seen StevenBe: A Yarn Garage Workshop yet, what better way to say hello than by joining us for a runway show?!

With Spring recently sprung upon us, we see little signs of life starting to emerge from their long winter’s sleep. Even over at Steven Be’s we see all these wonderful projects happening. With the flowers and birds comes a new batch of yarn from Tilli Tomas.
290 yards / 50 gms
18sts = 4” on #3 US needle
It comes in a variety of wonderful colors ready for spring wear. It also knits up fast on larger needles and looks deliciously chic when coupled with another yarn. If you’re interested in knitting with this gorgeous yarn and want to do a last minute gift for Easter, email Steven (firstname.lastname@example.org) for patterns and yarn. Mention this post (Springtime Stitches) and receive a coupon for a discount on your order.
